Säynätsalon kunnantalo – In the footsteps of Alvar Aalto

Säynätsalo Townhall
Lakeland

Säynätsalo Town Hall is one of the most famous buildings designed by Alvar Aalto. The building has a strong connection to the surrounding nature and community. In the late 1940s, the project was a huge effort for the small municipality of Säynätsalo: 3000 inhabitants, three rather small islands, but an industrialised community.

Säynätsalo Town Hall offers a wide range of activities for tourists; accommodation, meeting facilities, experiences, outdoor activities and sports. The best way to find out what we have to offer is to visit our website.

Whatever your profession, education, experience, stage of life, mobility or love, you are always safe and welcome to visit Säynätsalo Municipal Hall.” We hold Visit Finland’s Sustainable Travel Finland label and are a Biosphere certified company.
